Fastners

Fasteners are used to mechanically join two or more objects together, either permanently or non-permanently. There are many different types of fastener, each with their own purpose. Fasteners can broadly be categorised as either Permanent or Non-Permanent. The fasteners are the main components that are used in many sectors like automation, manufacturing, infrastructure and others in which different types of items are produced that require assembling of machinery or parts of different vehicles.

T HEAD BOLT

T-Head Bolts, otherwise known as Hammer-Head Bolts, are used in a range of applications – such as the fastening of lift guide rails. They are able to be placed flexibly in required positions within anchor channels. T Head Bolt has a T shaped or square shape head. It is also known as Hammer-Head Bolts or tank-strap bolts. Which are used in a range of applications such as the fastening of lift guide rails. It is a common used fastener that supply with a nut to joint the target object which has a T shaped head sits flush or below the surface of the surrounding material.

STUD BOLT

Stud bolts have a variety of uses across many industries, but they are most commonly used in construction, automotive, and industrial applications. For example, they are often used in large-scale construction projects such as bridges and dams, where components must be securely connected.A fixed link function used to connect machinery. Studs are threaded at both ends and the middle screw, either thick or thin.It is generally used in mining machinery, Bridges, automobiles, motorcycles, boiler steel structure, pylon, long-span steel structure and large buildings.

SQUARE NUTS

Square nuts are typically used where there is an inset or channel in the receiving surface, such as in furniture, railroad applications, or other metal assemblies. The larger surface area of square nuts allows them to more easily resist loosening. Square bolts are now most commonly used for aesthetic purposes to provide a rustic look in a new structure or to match existing fasteners in an older structure. Square lag screws are also used for these purposes. Crossarm or machine bolts are commonly supplied for the utility industry and included an added cone point.

SQUARE HEAD BOLTS

A square head bolt is a fastener commonly used in heavy machinery and in areas exposed to water or other liquids. It features a square-shaped head that requires an appropriate wrench for tightening, making it especially useful when extra security is desired. The usual diameter of the square head machine bolt is 3/8inch, 1/2inch, 5/8inch, and 3/4inch. The length of the square head machine bolt is according to the application. The widely used length is 2inch, 3inch, 10inch, 12inch, 14inch. Commonly used in furniture as a blind nut, they are also used in rail channels to prevent turning of rail when pressure is applied.

LOCK WASHERS

Lock washers are designed to be tightened to a required torque beneath an ordinary fastener. They exert a spring tension that keeps the fastener from vibrating loose. They are often attached to the nut side of the fastener. A lock washer is a special type of washer that's designed to create tension so that the bolt doesn't loosen or otherwise come out of its installed position. Lock washers aren't flat. They feature a semi-coiled design that gradually rises. A lock washer is a type of washer that is used to prevent a nut or bolt from coming loose. A flat washer is a type of washer used to distribute a load of a fastener over a larger area.

FLANGE BOLT

Flange bolts (washer bolts) have a flange cast into the bolt head, which acts in the same way as a washer, to spread the load over a wider area. Often used in car manufacturing for example, this type of bolt enables much faster installation on an assembly line than a traditional bolt and washer. The average flange is between 24 and 27 millimeters (mm)—which corresponds to the size of your nipple—but not everyone who breastfeeds will fit these sizes. You can get smaller or larger flanges depending on the material: plastic flanges range from 21 mm to 36 mm and there is a 40 mm glass flange available.

EYE BOLT

Eye bolts can be used as a connection point for rigging, anchoring, pulling, or hoisting applications. Eye bolts are stationary lifting points and only certain types can accommodate angular lifts by factoring in a significant reduction to the WLL. An eye bolt is a bolt with a loop at one end. They are used to firmly attach a securing eye to a structure, so that ropes or cables may then be tied to it. Lifting eye bolts and lifting eye nuts are fasteners with a loop at one end, used on equipment and machines. They facilitate moving, lashing, and lifting.

CARRIAGE BOLTS

Carriage bolts are used to hold together wood with wood, wood with metal and even metal with metal. Their particular shape allows the bolt to be self-locking when placed through a square hole, especially when dealing with metal. There are specially designed types of bolts for these applications which are termed carriage bolts. Earlier in the 1800s, these bolts were used in the construction of carriages and their wheels. That is where they get their name. A carriage bolt generally has a round head and a flat tip and is threaded along part of its shank. Carriage bolts are often referred to as plow bolts or coach bolts and are most commonly used in wood applications.

CAP NUT

Cap nuts are traditional hex nuts with the addition of a smooth dome on one side. These are used in assemblies where protection of the bolt or threaded is important after assembly, either for performance or for safety. The end story is, wherever bolts, nuts and rods are exposed, cap nuts are used to protect threaded fasteners, from construction and machinery to cabinets. Usually, cap nuts are dome nuts, or more specifically, domed hex nuts. They're sometimes called acorn nuts, which are in fact a type of nut cap.Cap nuts come in a variety of materials, from stainless steel to plated steel and brass.
